Game 6 of the WNBA Finals is scheduled to take place Thursday at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, marking a significant logistical adjustment for the championship series. The match between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Atlanta Hawks will serve as the decisive contest in the best-of-seven finale.
The game is set to begin at 12:30 p.m. ET, a matinee start time that contrasts with the typical evening slots usually reserved for high-profile professional basketball games. This early afternoon start offers a unique viewing window for fans across the Eastern Time Zone.
In coordination with the WNBA schedule, the start time for the NBA matchup between the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Atlanta Hawks has been altered. The basketball contest between the two men's teams will now tip off at 8 p.m. ET on the same day.
State Farm Arena, located in downtown Atlanta, will host the final game of the WNBA season. The venue is known for its central location and accessibility, providing a focal point for the city’s sports activities during the championship week.
The scheduling change ensures that both the WNBA and NBA teams from the same metropolitan area can play on the same calendar day without conflicting prime-time television slots. This arrangement allows for a comprehensive sports event day in Atlanta, culminating in the conclusion of the women's professional basketball season.
