The Delta State All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council issued a statement condemning electoral violence and pledging to run an issue‑based campaign focused on governance ahead of Nigeria’s 2027 general elections.

In the statement, the council said the party would centre its campaign on concrete policy proposals and the delivery of public services, rather than on personal or partisan attacks.

The condemnation was made in response to reports of violence surrounding recent electoral processes, which the council described as “unacceptable” and detrimental to democratic participation.

Party officials stressed that the APC’s priority is to present voters with clear, substantive platforms that address the state’s development challenges, including infrastructure, education and health care.

Nigeria’s next nationwide elections are scheduled for 2027, and political parties across the country are beginning to outline their strategies as the electoral calendar approaches.
