Nigerian table tennis player Kuti secured a crucial victory over his Tunisian opponent at the Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games, snapping a losing streak to keep his campaign alive in Senegal.
The win came in a tight five-set match held at the Dakar Expo Centre, where Kuti defeated Aidli with a final score of 11-8, 11-8, 9-11, and 11-7.
This result marks a significant recovery for the Nigerian athlete, who had suffered an opening-day defeat earlier in the tournament.
Kuti’s initial loss came against Li Ki Ho from Hong Kong, a result that threatened to end his participation in the event before this latest win.
By overcoming the Tunisian challenger, Kuti has extended his stay at the Youth Olympic Games, continuing his bid for a medal in the table tennis competition.
