Former AMCON MD's Fraud Trial Rescheduled for December
An Ikeja High Court has postponed the trial of Ahmed Kuru, the ex-Managing Director of the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON), and five others on allegations of N4.9bn fraud until December 2026.
The case was initially scheduled for continuation, but the court has now adjourned it to give both the prosecution and defense adequate time to prepare for the trial.
Ahmed Kuru and the co-accused are set to face trial for their alleged involvement in fraudulent activities involving the said amount. The trial was initially set to commence in March 2023, but the court deemed it necessary to postpone the proceedings.
The trial is expected to resume on the mentioned date, allowing both parties to gather necessary evidence and prepare their cases.
