Former “To Catch a Predator” host Chris Hansen took a seat on Fox News’ “Jesse Watters Primetime” in August to discuss the new film “Primetime.” He was quick to express his displeasure with the way the movie portrayed him.
Hansen said he had left the offices of distributor A24 without seeing the film, citing a legal agreement that the studio wanted him to sign. He explained that the agreement prevented him from reviewing the final product before its release.
“I left the offices of distributor A24 without seeing the film due to the legal agreement they wanted me to,” Hansen told the program.
During the interview, Hansen described the film’s depiction of him as “bizarre” and “detached from reality,” noting that the portrayal did not align with his real-life experiences or the public persona he cultivated during his tenure on the show.
Hansen’s comments come as the film prepares for its upcoming release, with the former host urging viewers to consider the differences between the on‑screen narrative and his actual career. The film’s producers have not yet responded to his remarks.
