By-election: Police Deploy Personnel, Restrict Movement in Bauchi
The Bauchi State Police Command has taken stringent security measures to ensure a peaceful by-election in the state.
Personnel have been deployed and movement restricted in two constituencies, particularly around polling stations, as the election approaches on September 19.

Speaking on the deployment, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Abdullahi Haruna, said:
"We have put in place adequate security measures to ensure a free, fair, and peaceful election. Our primary goal is to protect lives and property, maintain law and order, and ensure that the election goes on smoothly."
The Bauchi State Governor, Mohammed Abubakar, has expressed his support for the security measures:
"I commend the Police Command for taking proactive steps to ensure a safe and successful election. It is crucial for the safety and security of our citizens during this critical event."
The by-election is being held to fill the vacant seats in the Bauchi State House of Assembly, following the death of two legislators.
The Bauchi State Police Command has assured the public that they are committed to maintaining peace and security during the by-election.
