Ukraine has reported that Russian forces carried out a large-scale overnight strike against the country, using a combination of unmanned aerial vehicles and missile systems.
According to Ukrainian officials, the assault involved 130 drones, 48 cruise missiles and a number of ballistic missiles launched from the Russian side of the border. The barrage was described as “massive” by the Ukrainian government, which said it had been launched in the early hours of the day.
The attack is part of the ongoing conflict that began in 2014 and escalated with Russia’s full‑scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022. Ukraine has repeatedly accused Russia of using advanced weaponry to target civilian and military infrastructure across the country.
