Ondo State Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa has called on financially capable alumni and other education stakeholders to partner with the state government in tackling the infrastructure challenges that plague its public schools.

Speaking at a recent education forum, Aiyedatiwa said that collaborative partnerships were essential to improve access to quality education for the state’s students. He urged former pupils to give back to their alma maters by supporting the development of school facilities.

The governor highlighted that many public schools in Ondo State suffer from inadequate classrooms, poor sanitation and a lack of learning resources. He stressed that without a concerted effort from alumni and private partners, the state’s education system would continue to struggle to meet the needs of its growing student population.

“It is time for those who have benefited from our schools to help build a better future for the next generation,” Aiyedatiwa said. “By investing in infrastructure, we can ensure that every child in Ondo has the opportunity to learn in a safe and conducive environment.”

While the governor did not detail specific funding mechanisms, he encouraged alumni associations, former students and private sector entities to explore joint projects that could accelerate the construction and refurbishment of school buildings across the state.
