Ugandan referee Duula Joshua has been appointed to officiate the first leg of the 2027 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations second-round qualifying match between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Nigeria’s Olympic Eagles. The fixture is scheduled to take place on Friday, 13 November, at the TP Mazembe Stadium in Lubumbashi.
Joshua will be supported on the field by fellow Ugandans Brianson Musisi and Katerega Ashiraf, who will serve as the first and second assistant referees, respectively. Another Ugandan official, William Oloya, has been designated as the fourth official for the encounter.
The match will also feature officials from the Central African Republic, with Jean Marie Koyakobo appointed as the match commissioner and Alain Brice Letokouzou serving as the referee assessor.
Nigeria will host the reverse fixture of the two-legged tie on Tuesday, 17 November. The second leg is set to be played at the Remo Stars Sports Complex in Ikenne.
The appointment of the Ugandan refereeing team marks a key logistical detail ahead of the Olympic Eagles' campaign in the U-23 continental qualifiers.
