Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, former Governor Ifeanyi Okowa, and Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development Festus Keyamo have been named as key members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Campaign Council for the state. The appointments were announced ahead of the council’s official inauguration, which is scheduled to take place on Thursday.
The newly formed council is expected to coordinate the party’s campaign activities across Delta State in preparation for the 2027 general elections. By assembling a team that includes current and former state executives alongside a federal minister, the APC aims to leverage their political influence and administrative experience to drive its electoral strategy in the region.
The inclusion of Governor Oborevwori and former Governor Okowa signals the party's intent to unify its leadership structure at the state level, while the participation of Keyamo brings a high-profile federal presence to the local campaign machinery. The council will serve as the primary body responsible for organizing and overseeing the party's outreach and mobilization efforts throughout the state.
The inauguration of the campaign council marks a significant step in the APC's organizational preparations for the upcoming electoral cycle in Delta State, a key political hub in Nigeria's South-South geopolitical zone.
