Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf confirmed that Northern Nigeria will back President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. The statement was made on Saturday in Abuja during the inauguration of the Arewa for Asiwaju (A4A) campaign office.
During the ceremony, Yusuf pledged to mobilise support for Tinubu across the region, signalling the governor’s commitment to the president’s re‑election bid.
The Arewa for Asiwaju office, opened in Abuja, is part of Tinubu’s broader campaign infrastructure aimed at consolidating support in the north.
Yusuf’s assurance comes as the president’s campaign seeks to strengthen its footing ahead of the 2027 elections, with the northern bloc playing a key role in the national political landscape.
