When Aston Villa took a 1‑0 lead at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in north London, it felt inevitable that the Spurs would head into the international break without a win in the Premier League.
The defeat left Tottenham at the bottom of the table, continuing a winless run that has raised questions about the club’s leadership and on‑field performance.
Spurs have struggled to secure a victory in their recent fixtures, a pattern that has become a focal point for critics and supporters alike as the season progresses.
With the break approaching, the club will look to regroup and address the issues that have kept them from turning results in their favour.
While the loss to Villa was a single setback, it underscores the broader challenges faced by a team that has not managed to secure a win in the early stages of the campaign.
