Stallone said the appointment had come “just happened” and that he had not actively sought the position.

Stallone explained that the role was “impossible” for him to accept. “I said thank you and ciao,” he told the newspaper, indicating that he chose to step away from the responsibilities that would have come with the title.
“Well, it just happened,” Stallone said. “I was watching TV one night… I said thank you and ciao.”
