A small aircraft crashed near wind turbines in Kipeto, a hilly area of Kajiado County southwest of Nairobi, killing a student pilot and a flight instructor.
The incident occurred in the vicinity of the wind farm, according to Kajiado West police commander Maureen Kuto, who said the aircraft went down in the area.
Neither of the victims was immediately identified, and no further details about the aircraft or the cause of the crash have been released.
Kajiado County lies to the south of Nairobi and is known for its rolling hills and growing renewable energy projects, including the wind turbines that were nearby at the time of the accident.
