NANS, the National Association of Nigerian Students, has called off a planned protest after the governor pledged to resolve all outstanding issues within two weeks.
Mr Babatunde, a spokesperson for the union, said the governor had promised to address the concerns that had prompted the demonstration. The promise was made in a public statement earlier this week.
Following the governor’s commitment, NANS announced that it would suspend the protest until the promised resolution is achieved. The union will keep members informed of any developments.
The decision reflects the union’s willingness to engage with the government and to seek a constructive resolution to the matters that had sparked the planned demonstration.
