The Borno State Police Command has issued a warning to travellers who find themselves stranded in the region, urging them to seek help at the nearest police station.
The statement follows a recent incident in which a traveller was assisted by police officers after becoming stuck on a remote road. Police personnel were able to provide immediate support and guide the individual to a safe location.
According to the command, officers are on hand to offer assistance and direct travellers to secure routes and safe havens. The advice is aimed at ensuring that those who encounter difficulties on the road can receive timely help.
The warning was issued by the Borno Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), who stressed that stranded travellers should not attempt to resolve the situation alone but instead contact local authorities for assistance.
Travelers are encouraged to keep the police station address and contact details handy and to seek help promptly if they encounter any difficulties while on the road.
