Local authorities have maintained lockdown restrictions in several affected areas, further limiting the ability of tourists to reach popular destinations such as Kathmandu, Pokhara and the Annapurna circuit.
Despite the ongoing recovery efforts, the tourism sector remains one of the hardest-hit parts of Nepal’s economy. The government has announced plans to support affected businesses, but many still face uncertainty as the country works to restore normalcy.
