Comedian Stavros Halkias was recently interviewed by Nate Burleson on CBS News, where he discussed his latest stand‑up special, the popular show Tires, and his new role in the Anthony Bourdain biopic, Tony.
Halkias, known for his sharp observational humor, revealed that his newest stand‑up project is already generating buzz among fans and critics alike. While details about the special’s title and release date remain under wraps, the comedian said it will explore the idiosyncrasies of everyday life with his trademark wit.
He also reflected on the success of Tires, a series that has become a fan favourite for its blend of comedy and candid storytelling. “It’s been amazing to see how people connect with the material,” Halkias said, noting that the show’s relatable themes have helped him build a loyal audience.
In addition to his comedy work, Halkias will appear in the upcoming biopic about the late chef and television personality Anthony Bourdain. The film, titled Tony, will feature Halkias in a supporting role that showcases his acting chops beyond the stage.
“I’m kind of a comedy nerd,” Halkias laughed, adding that his passion for the craft drives him to continually experiment with new material and formats.
