Spain’s national football team coach Luis de la Fuente has been handed a new contract that will keep him at the helm until 2032, the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) announced today.
The extension follows Spain’s triumph in the 2026 World Cup, a victory that has cemented de la Fuente’s reputation as one of the country’s most successful managers.
Under the new deal, de la Fuente will continue to oversee the senior squad’s preparations for upcoming international fixtures, including the 2028 European Championship and the 2030 World Cup.
RFEF officials said the decision reflects confidence in the coach’s long‑term vision for Spanish football and his ability to build on the nation’s recent achievements.
De la Fuente, who has been in charge since 2022, will now have a decade to further develop Spain’s playing style and nurture the next generation of talent.
