Senator Kalu Mourns Former Kogi Governor Ibrahim Idris
Former Governor of Abia State and Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, has expressed his sadness over the death of former Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris.
Alhaji Ibrahim Idris, popularly known as "Ibro", passed away on Sunday in the United Kingdom at the age of 77. In a statement personally signed by him, Kalu highlighted Idris' accomplishments as an accomplished businessman, respected political leader, and statesman who dedicated a significant portion of his life to public service and the development of Kogi State.
The former Senate Chief Whip extended his condolences to Idris' family, the government and people of Kogi State, as well as his political associates and those mourning this great loss.
Idris served as the Governor of Kogi State on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party from 2003 until January 2012.
