Russian forces struck a Ukrainian aid site in the village of Komyshuvakha, in the southern Zaporizhzhia region, killing at least 31 people and leaving more than 45 residents missing, officials said.

Emergency workers and volunteers combed through the cratered blast site, pulling bodies from the rubble and carrying them away in white plastic sheeting. The scene was described as a chaotic and tragic aftermath of the strike.

The village of Komyshuvakha lies within the Zaporizhzhia region, a key area in the ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The strike targeted a facility that had been providing aid to local residents.

Search teams continue to look for the missing residents, who are believed to have been trapped under the collapsed structures. Authorities have not yet released a full list of those still unaccounted for.

The incident adds to a series of attacks on humanitarian sites in Ukraine, raising concerns about the protection of aid workers and civilians in conflict zones.
