Police Arrest Two Over Alleged Sexual Assault of Three Minors in Bauchi
Two men have been arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command in connection with the alleged sexual assault of three minor girls in Lanzai District of Darazo Local Government Area.
The suspects, identified as Abubakar Muhammad Jatau, 20, and Umar, 18, were apprehended after a report was lodged by the victims' father.
The police said the girls were lured to an incomplete building where they were allegedly assaulted. They were taken to the General Hospital, Darazo, for medical examination.
Police Arrest Two Over Kidnap Attempt in Toro Local Government Area
In Toro Local Government Area, the Bauchi State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old man, Jabir Yusuf, for allegedly attempting to kidnap a 15-year-old girl in Zalau Ward.
The suspect was apprehended after the victim's family reported the incident at the Toro Police Division.
Jabir Yusuf is said to have approached the girl and demanded N100,000 (about $270) ransom from her family.
The police recovered the demanded ransom sum from the suspect's house during the arrest operation.
Police Arrest Two Over Assault of a Tricycle Rider in Dass Local Government Area
In Dass Local Government Area, the Bauchi State Police Command has arrested two suspects, identified as Sirajo and Maihama, for allegedly assaulting a tricycle rider.
The incident occurred after the victim, a 22-year-old man, reported the assault to the Dass Police Division.
Sirajo and Maihama are said to have attacked the tricycle rider over an alleged debt dispute.
The police have recovered the victim's tricycle and are continuing with investigations.
