The Delta State Police Command has arrested one suspect in connection with the alleged murder of Unity Ekpevbughe Adeda, a Deputy Director in the State Ministry of Secondary Education, while a manhunt is underway for other individuals involved in the incident.
Police Public Relations Officer SP Bright Edafe disclosed the development in a statement, confirming that the command is aware of reports regarding Adeda’s death following an incident at the office of Commissioner for Secondary Education Dr Kingsley Ashibogwu in Asaba. The statement noted that allegations suggest Adeda was beaten by aides to the commissioner, specifically identified as Enos Attah, Oputa Okestine, and Lucky Adoh.
Upon receiving complaints about the incident, the command immediately took action and arrested Lucky Adoh. SP Edafe stated that the search for the remaining suspects is currently ongoing.
