A local government chairman in Plateau State has asserted that Governor Caleb Mutfwang’s recent defection to the All Progressives Congress (APC) is already producing tangible benefits for the state.
The official cited the approval of federal road projects and other government initiatives as evidence that the political alignment is yielding positive results for Plateau residents.
While the specific identity of the local government chairman was not detailed in the report, the statement highlights a growing narrative among state officials that the governor’s shift in political allegiance has facilitated smoother access to federal resources.
The comments come as the APC continues to consolidate its presence in northern Nigeria, where political affiliations often influence the distribution of national infrastructure funds and development projects.
Observers note that such endorsements from local leaders serve to reinforce the governor’s position within the ruling party, potentially securing further support for ongoing and future state-level development plans.
