Parvathy Thiruvothu is taking on a new challenge in the Malayalam thriller Pradhama Drishtiya Kuttakkar (translated as “Prima Facie Guilty”), directed by Shahad Nilambur. The film, which is currently running in theatres, sees the actress portray a police officer for the first time in her career.
For more than twenty years, Thiruvothu has used her work to question and confront the structures of power in India, both on screen and in her public life. Her decision to play a law‑enforcement officer marks a significant shift from her earlier roles that often highlighted social injustice.
