By elevating the post to a division, the monarch hopes to strengthen law‑enforcement presence and improve response times to security threats in Oyo State. The request comes amid growing concerns over rising crime and kidnapping incidents across Nigeria.
While the government has yet to respond, the appeal highlights the ongoing need for enhanced security infrastructure in the country’s southern states.
