Over 1,000 pupils in eight public primary schools across Ikeja Federal Constituency of Lagos State received free school materials from the Olalekan Ayinla Foundation as part of a campaign to ease the burden of education on low‑income families for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The intervention saw the foundation distribute school uniforms, bags, notebooks, stationery and sandals to pupils in the beneficiary schools, which include Oke‑Ira Primary School, Ogba; Onigbongbo Primary School, Maryland; Opebi Primary School, Ikeja; St. Peter’s Primary School; Adeniyi Jones Primary School; Tokunbo Alli Primary School; and Shogunle Primary School.

Founder Olalekan Ayinla, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), used the occasion to reiterate his support for President Bola Tinubu’s re‑election bid and the APC’s Lagos governorship candidate, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, ahead of the 2027 elections. He said he remained committed to the party, which he believes should take precedence over individual interests.
Dr. Hakeem Shittu, Chairman of the Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB), praised the foundation’s initiative, noting that such interventions could contribute to improving pupils’ learning experience.
