Ole Miss running back Kewan Lacy will miss the upcoming matchup against the Florida Gators on Saturday, head coach Pete Golding said in a statement to ESPN.
Lacy, who has been the Tigers’ leading rusher this season, was listed as a non‑starter for the game. Golding confirmed that the player is not expected to take the field, citing an undisclosed injury that has kept him sidelined.
Florida, ranked 21st in the nation, will face a Tigers squad that will have to rely on its backup backs and offensive line to fill the void left by Lacy’s absence.
The game is scheduled for Saturday at the Gators’ home stadium, with both teams hoping to secure a win to improve their standings in the SEC.
