Arsenal captain Martin Odegaard urged his side to move on after a stunning League Cup defeat to fourth‑tier Fleetwood Town.
The Gunners were beaten by the National League club in a match that left many fans and pundits shocked. Fleetwood’s victory was the first time a Premier League side had lost to a fourth‑tier team in the competition.
Odegaard said the team could not afford to feel sorry for themselves and that they needed to focus on the next challenge. “We have to move on,” he said, stressing the importance of learning from the loss and returning stronger.
Arsenal will look to regroup quickly as they prepare for upcoming fixtures in the Premier League and other competitions. The defeat has prompted a call for the squad to refocus and regain their form.
