A political scientist, Professor Charles Chinekezi, said the presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr. Peter Obi, can redeem and reposition Nigeria within four years, if voted in as the president of the country in 2027.
Speaking during an interview in Umuahia, Abia State, Prof Chinekezi said Obi remains one of the few Nigerians who have the capacity and pedigree to fix both the insecurity and economic problems facing the country. Prof Chinekezi said it is only Obi, among those jostling to be president of Nigeria in 2027, that is not encumbered by abuse of office when he was Governor of Anambra State or any form of corruption.
He said the NDC presidential candidate has, at the tip of his fingers, what it takes to deal with insecurity in the country and end the current economic hardship facing the masses.
“Peter Obi has all it takes to bring out the country from the woods. He has the capacity and, indeed, has cemented this with his alliance with Senate Rabiu Kwankwaso; both are experienced and seasoned politicians who can turn things around within a short period”.
Meanwhile, the Kwankwaso National Network (KNN) has said Obi will liberate Nigeria from her present economic and security quagmire and restore its pride of place, if given the mantle of leadership in 2027.
The South East Zonal Coordinator of the group, Dr. Ukpai Iro Ukpai, stated this in a chat with newsmen in Umuahia, Abia State.
Dr. Ukpai described the alliance between Obi and Kwankwaso as a strategic one aimed at liberating democracy from the claws of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
“This is a strategic move to liberate our democracy from the claws of the incompetent ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and to unite the previously seriously fragmented opposition. “This singular political alliance, which has brought together the two most popular organic political movements in Nigeria presently (Obidient Movement and Kwankwassiya Movement), is, today, the greatest nightmare of the ruling party”.
KNN said it is no longer in doubt that many Nigerians have embraced the Obi-Kwankwaso joint ticket as the only hope for national restoration in 2027.
Dr. Ukpai said working with its strategic partners, the KNN was fully committed to delivering at least five million votes for the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket from the South East in 2027.
