Alladoum Francis Kolimba, the goalkeeper for Niger Tornadoes, has been recalled to the Central African Republic national team for upcoming 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The shot-stopper was included in the squad for matches against Mauritania and Burkina Faso, according to reports from the Daily Post.
This selection marks a return to the national setup for Kolimba, who last featured for the Central African Republic in a 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola. The goalkeeper has earned three caps for his country to date.
Kolimba’s recent return to the national team follows his transfer to Niger Tornadoes, a club in the Nigeria Professional Football League. Despite being part of the squad, the goalkeeper has yet to make an appearance for the Ikon Allah Boys this season.
The Central African Republic is scheduled to face Mauritania in an away fixture on Thursday, 24 September. The team will then host Burkina Faso at home four days later, on 28 September.
