Niger Tornadoes were edged 1‑0 by Katsina United in a Saturday match at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium in Katsina, with the only goal coming from Garba Abdulraman.
After the game, Niger Tornadoes technical adviser Kabiru Dogo said the defeat was largely due to missed opportunities. “This is what happens in football when you don’t take your chances,” Dogo told reporters.
He added that his side had “even clearer opportunities” but failed to convert them. “Sometimes, you can attribute this to ill luck, but we need to improve, particularly in terms of taking our chances,” Dogo said.
Despite the loss, Dogo praised the quality of play from both teams, describing the match as “a very good game from both sides.”
