Works Minister David Umahi has declared that there is no “rainbow coalition” in Ebonyi, affirming that the state remains aligned with the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement to the press, Umahi said the state’s political landscape is firmly in the hands of the APC, rejecting the idea that a multi‑party alliance is operating in Ebonyi.
Ebonyi, one of Nigeria’s 36 states, has traditionally been a stronghold for the APC. The minister’s remarks come as the party consolidates its position ahead of upcoming local and national elections.
While the term “rainbow coalition” is often used to describe a partnership between several political parties, Umahi’s comment indicates that such an arrangement is not in place within Ebonyi’s government.
