The Nigerian Army has opened online registration for skilled men and women seeking to join the 92 Regular Recruits Intake (92RRI) Recruitment Exercise. The initiative aims to recruit specific technical personnel to bolster the military's operational capabilities.
According to the Army, the online registration process commenced on September 16, 2026, and will remain open until October 21, 2026. Prospective candidates are required to register through the designated online portal during this specified window.
The recruitment drive is targeted at individuals with specialized technical backgrounds. Eligible roles include boat operators, marine mechanics, electrical and mechanical engineers, and other technical apprentices. The Army emphasized that the intake is specifically for "special skilled" candidates rather than general infantry recruits.
Applicants must meet strict eligibility criteria to be considered for the intake. The Army stated that candidates must be Nigerian citizens by birth and must be between the ages of 18 and 35 as of the closing date, October 21, 2026.
In a significant advisory, the Nigerian Army warned the public that recruitment into its ranks is entirely free of charge. The military urged potential applicants to be wary of any individuals or entities claiming to facilitate the process for a fee, as such actions are not authorized by the institution.
