Sports consultant Sam Séverin Ango has publicly voiced his disapproval of David Pagou’s simultaneous management of the Lions Indomptables and Coton Sport de Garoua.
Ango, who has been involved in the Cameroonian football scene for several years, argued that a single individual should not hold head‑coach responsibilities for two clubs at the same time. He said the dual role could create conflicts of interest and compromise the integrity of both teams.
Pagou is currently appointed as the head coach of both the Lions Indomptables and Coton Sport de Garoua, two clubs that compete in Cameroon’s top‑flight league. The arrangement has drawn criticism from some members of the football community.
Coton Sport de Garoua is based in the northern city of Garoua, while the Lions Indomptables are a separate club that also competes in the country’s premier division. Both teams have a history of strong performances in national competitions.
Ango’s comments come as the football federation reviews the regulations governing coaching appointments. The federation has yet to respond to the consultant’s concerns.
