England cricketer Will Jacks has framed the team's upcoming tri-series fixtures as a "mini World Cup" following consecutive defeats that have placed the side in must-win territory. The squad faces a critical juncture in the tournament after losing their opening two matches against Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The recent results have boxed England into a difficult position, requiring victories in their next two games to keep their campaign alive. Jacks emphasized the need to treat these remaining fixtures with the same intensity and focus as a major global championship.
By adopting this high-stakes mindset, the team aims to overcome the early setbacks and secure the necessary wins to progress in the tri-series. The pressure is now on the players to deliver under the weight of the current standings.
Jacks' comments highlight the internal resolve within the squad to turn the situation around. The upcoming matches are viewed not just as regular tournament games, but as decisive encounters that will determine England's fate in the competition.
