Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc posted the fastest lap in the opening practice session for the United States Grand Prix, edging out Red Bull’s Max Verstappen.
The session, held at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, saw Leclerc top the timing sheets while Verstappen recorded the second‑quickest time.
Both drivers were representing their respective teams – Leclerc for Ferrari and Verstappen for Red Bull – as they began preparations for the weekend’s qualifying and race.
The United States Grand Prix is a key round of the Formula 1 calendar, with the Austin circuit known for its mix of high‑speed straights and technical corners that challenge car setup and driver skill.
Practice sessions such as this allow teams to gather data and fine‑tune their cars ahead of qualifying, setting the stage for the competition that will unfold over the race weekend.
