The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has taken its 2027 mobilisation campaign for President Bola Tinubu and Deputy Governor Obafemi Hamzat to Nigerians living in Chicago, United States.
The outreach event was organised by the Lagos APC to connect with the Nigerian diaspora community in the city, aiming to inform and rally support for the incumbent president and his deputy governor ahead of the 2027 general elections.
By targeting expatriates, the party hopes to mobilise overseas voters and advocates who can influence the electoral landscape through voting and advocacy from abroad.
Lagos, Nigeria’s commercial hub and a traditional stronghold of the APC, is using the campaign to extend its political messaging beyond the country’s borders.
The initiative reflects a broader strategy by the ruling party to engage Nigerians abroad, a demographic that has become increasingly significant in the country’s political calculations.
