Kwara State Polytechnic in Ilorin has expelled 42 students after an investigation found them guilty of examination malpractice.
The expelled cohort includes 31 Higher National Diploma (HND) candidates and 11 National Diploma (ND) candidates, according to the institution’s statement.
The investigation, carried out by the poly’s internal compliance team, concluded that the students had engaged in activities that violated the examination regulations. The findings led to the decision to remove the students from the institution.
Expulsion means the students will lose their enrolment status and will not be able to continue their studies at the poly until they meet the institution’s re‑admission criteria, if any.
The move is part of the poly’s broader effort to uphold academic integrity and deter future malpractice among its student body.
