Center Walker Kessler, a new addition to the Los Angeles Lakers, said the team has the personnel to become “a nasty defensive team” and to contend for a Western Conference playoff spot this season.
Kessler, who joined the Lakers during the offseason, expressed confidence that the roster’s blend of size, athleticism and experience positions the franchise for a defensive identity that could lift its overall performance.
