Nairobi, Kenya — Kenyan police have detained three individuals and seized significant quantities of illegal substances during separate enforcement operations in Tharaka Nithi and Garissa counties.
According to reports from Capital FM, the arrests were made as part of ongoing efforts to curb the distribution of illicit brew and controlled drugs across the country.
During the operations, authorities recovered a total of 160 litres of illicit brew. In addition to the alcohol, police confiscated 39 packages of suspected cannabis sativa, locally known as bhang.
The seizures took place in two distinct regions, with activities reported in both Tharaka Nithi and Garissa counties. The specific distribution of the seized items between the two locations was not detailed in the initial report.
