The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Kebbi State Campaign Council has formally asked the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) to confirm whether it has conducted or is conducting any investigation into the affairs of the Kebbi State Government.
In a letter dated 14 September 2026, the council requested the anti‑corruption agency to disclose, where law allows, the status or outcome of any such inquiry. The requested information includes findings, recoveries, forfeitures, prosecutions, charges or other lawful actions that may have resulted from an investigation.
The ADC clarified that its request is not an allegation of wrongdoing against any individual or official. Instead, it is a call for official clarification, arguing that residents deserve to know the outcome of any investigation that may affect the management of public resources in Kebbi State.
If no investigation has taken place, the council said it should also be made clear. It stressed that questions about public resources should be addressed through official records and competent institutions rather than rumours or political claims.
