“Meloni said the government would bring the proposed legislation to the Council of Ministers, after which it would require parliamentary approval to become law.”
The policy is part of the government’s broader agenda to regulate immigration and school policy in Italy.
Once the bill is approved by the Council of Ministers, it will be sent to parliament where it must be debated and passed before it can become law.
