Lifestyle influencer and actress known as Spicysophiee told content creator Kaptain Jeff that she considers herself “a pure gold digger” and that she spends roughly N5 million each month on maintaining her body, the influencer said in an interview reported by Vanguard News.
She broke down the cost, saying her skincare routine alone accounts for about N3.5 million per month, while she allocates another N500,000 to “pure water” that she uses for bathing and washing clothes. The remaining amount covers other undisclosed expenses related to her appearance.
Addressing accusations of materialism, Spicysophiee argued that the high cost of her upkeep makes it difficult to distance herself from such perceptions. “If I am not materialistic how would I maintain my body? I am a gold digger, pure gold digger, I don’t mind,” she said.
The influencer also praised Igbo women, describing them as “nice and kind” and stating that they are “the best girls you can ever have in your life.”
Spicysophiee’s comments highlight the personal financial commitments some Nigerian social media personalities make to sustain their public image, with N5 million equivalent to several thousand US dollars at prevailing exchange rates.
