The doctors, representing a broad cross‑section of the medical profession, issued a statement that the IMA has not spoken out about the attacks on hospitals, clinics and medical staff in Gaza and the West Bank.
They argue that the systematic destruction of medical infrastructure and the targeting of healthcare workers violates international humanitarian law and threatens the health of civilians.
The WMA has not yet issued a response to the doctors’ demands, and the IMA has not released a statement addressing the allegations.
The call for suspension comes amid ongoing conflict in the region, with reports of widespread damage to medical facilities and shortages of essential supplies.
