Historic Kyiv monastery set ablaze in deadly Russian air attack
One of Eastern Orthodox Christianity’s most historic sites, the Kyiv-Pechersk Lavra monastery, was set ablaze in a heavy Russian air attack on Ukraine’s capital. The overnight strikes which damaged the centuries-old UNESCO World Heritage site also left four people dead and many injured.
