Hannah Einbinder, the “Hacks” star, was arrested earlier Thursday while taking part in a protest against an appearance by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
The demonstration, which drew a number of high‑profile activists, saw Einbinder stand beside Sarah Sherman, Susan Sarandon and other supporters as they called for an end to what they described as a “devastating genocidal war” being waged by Israel.

After her arrest, Einbinder posted an Instagram story urging her followers to focus on “the devastating genocidal war Israel is waging against the people of …” and to look beyond the spectacle of the protest itself.
“Let us not mistake the spectacle for the story.”
Einbinder has since spoken out about the arrest, emphasizing the importance of addressing the underlying conflict rather than merely the public demonstration.
