The council stated that claims that certain operators were diverting or manipulating the allocation process are unfounded.
The allocation of Hajj slots is a highly regulated process that determines how many pilgrims each operator can send to Saudi Arabia each year. NAHCON is responsible for ensuring that the distribution is fair and transparent, and it monitors compliance with the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s guidelines.
Recent rumours circulated among some tour operators suggesting that they could secure additional slots or that the allocation could be altered in their favour. NAHCON clarified that no such changes have been authorised and that the allocation for 2027 will follow the standard procedure set by the Saudi authorities.
In a statement released by the council, NAHCON emphasised that it will continue to oversee the allocation process and that any operator found to be disseminating false information will face penalties. The council urged pilgrims to rely only on official communications for accurate details about their Hajj arrangements.
By addressing the misinformation, NAHCON aims to protect both pilgrims and operators from potential fraud and to maintain the integrity of the Hajj pilgrimage, which remains the largest annual gathering of Muslims worldwide.
