The Aviation Ground Handlers Association of Nigeria (AGHAN) has ordered its members to cease all ground handling services for XEJET Airline, citing an unpaid debt of N300 million.
According to the association, the debt remains outstanding despite repeated attempts to resolve the matter. The halt of services will affect XEJET’s operations at all Nigerian airports where AGHAN’s members provide ground handling, including check‑in, baggage handling and aircraft servicing.
AGHAN’s decision comes after the airline failed to meet the payment deadline set by the association. The N300 million figure represents the total amount owed for services rendered over the past months.
While the announcement does not specify a timeline for when services might resume, the move is expected to disrupt XEJET’s flight schedules and could prompt passengers to seek alternative carriers.
