Warner Bros. has pushed back the release of Gremlins 3 from its originally scheduled November 19, 2027, to October 6, 2028.
The decision was announced by the studio in a recent press release, following a statement from David Zaslav, CEO and president of Warner Bros. Discovery, who first disclosed the project during an investor call in 2025.
Steven Spielberg will return as executive producer, while the film will be produced and directed by Chris Columbus, best known for directing the first two Harry Potter movies.
Details on the screenplay remain sparse, with the studio not yet released a full synopsis or writer credits.
As the third entry in the franchise that began in 1984, the delay marks a significant shift in the production timeline for the beloved series of mischievous creatures.
